Welcome to the Upper Bay of Fundy. We provide private, custom-crafted tours guided by the rhythm of the world's highest tides. 


Since 2022, our certified guides have specialized in small-group experiences where we handle route selection, timings, pace, safety and nutritious snacks, leaving the Fundy Experience enjoyment to you. 


We take you to dramatic coastal landscapes, including tide-sculpted cliffs, hidden coves, and the ocean floor. We host solo guests and private groups of up to six people, ensuring an unhurried, personalized coastal exploration tailored to your interests.

Visit Soley Cove to see red sandstone cliffs shaped by wind and tides over millions of years. This area is popular with photographers and those interested in earth science. 


We will walk along a red sand and pebble beach to find sea caves, "flowerpot" rock formations, and coastal waterfalls. The landscape here changes frequently due to rapid erosion, providing a clear look at the effects of the climate and tides.

A gentle to moderately challenging hike across the ocean floor at low tide to reach the Clarke Head Arch in the UNESCO Global Geopark. The route takes you past high cliffs and the "Old Man" sea stack, which reveal the geological history of Pangea. 


Walking over diverse pebble beaches, you will learn about tidal dynamics and how the bay's pinch points create the world's highest tides. This walk is a great choice for those interested in photography and raw coastal scenery.

This is a specialized adventure available only on specific dates when tide conditions allow. We cross the ocean floor to explore between Big Brother and Little Brother islands. 


After the crossing, we return to the mainland for a beachside picnic with local food and hot drinks. From the shore, we watch the tide rapidly fill the channel we just walked across.




Duration: 5 hours.

This tour is timed to coincide with the incoming tide at Two Islands Beach.

 

Available on select dates, it offers a chance to watch the "Meeting of the Waters," where the sea rushes into the channel between the mainland and the islands. We begin with a beach exploration and treasure hunt before settling in to watch the event. 


You can choose to stand in a safe area to feel the force of the water or observe from dry land.

Led by our certified ocean therapy practitioner, the session includes gentle stretching to help you ground and relax, a guided meditation focusing on breath and letting go of everyday stressors. Consider this a total reset!

Junior Geologist: Ocean Floor Discovery at Five Islands Provincial Park

As the licensed tour provider for Five Islands Provincial Park, we offer a safe, expert-led walk on the ocean floor within the Cliffs of Fundy Geopark. 


This tour is customized for families, allowing children and adults to explore the geology, plants, and animals at home in the intertidal zone at their own pace. We will look for minerals and colourful pebbles, identify edible seaweeds, and view the Atlantic mud-piddock beds. 

The walk includes photo opportunities with the Old Wife Formation.


Customization: An optional "Discovery Backpack" is available for children (from ages 4 to 12) to keep, including identification guides, a notebook, and a magnifying glass. ($ 20 / per backpack)

This low-tide walk takes you to Two Islands Beach and the Wasson’s Bluff fossil site, where Canada’s oldest known dinosaur was found. We explore two different landscapes to learn about the breakup of the supercontinent Pangea 200 million years ago. 


Families will identify ancient pebbles, explore the intertidal zone for life, and watch the tide begin to return. This tour focuses on hands-on learning about local geology and nature, tailored to the ages and abilities of your group.


Customization: An optional "Discovery Backpack" is available for children (from ages 4 to 12) to keep, including identification guides, a notebook, and a magnifying glass. ($ 20 / per backpack)

Your guide will show you how to identify various marine organisms and explain sustainable harvesting principles. 


You will learn about the edible uses of seaweeds and kelp. The tour concludes with a beach picnic featuring preserved intertidal ingredients paired with complementary local foods.

Around the full and new moons, we can access the dulse-growing regions of the Minas Basin.


 This tour runs from June through September. 


You will learn to identify, harvest, and preserve dulse, a nutritious red seaweed. 


You will take home your own harvest along with recipes. 


The experience ends with a rustic picnic featuring dulse-infused foods.

The route passes waterfalls and sea caves, ending at a significant geological site that displays the breakup of Pangea. 


Hikers must be attentive to the pace and the tides.

This two-day excursion is a hands-on introduction to backcountry camping, designed for beginners.


 It is tailored for up to two participants identifying as female. We provide all essential gear, including tents, sleeping pads, and cooking equipment. 


You will learn hiking techniques, how to set up camp, and gain confidence in the wilderness.

Equipment will be reviewed and tested to help you make decisions on what to purchase when the time comes to build your own gear kit. 

Requirements: Participants must be 13+ and able to carry a 20–25 lb pack.


Duration:  2 days (overnight). Includes meals and gear.

Cliffs Of Fundy Geopark Hiking Badge

Over the span of 365 days, complete a minimum of 8 hikes from the list below to obtain a Cliffs of Fundy Geopark badge


Please keep a log or print and check off completed hikes on the list and add the date. You will not have to send in the list. We work on the honor systems.

Suggested Hikes, For Most Fitness Levels & Abilities

  •  Thomas Cove Economy Trail Loop (full loop approx. 4 km), Level 1 terrain, easy to moderate


  • Thomas Cove Headlands Trail Loop (full loop approx. 4.3 km), Level 1 terrain, easy to moderate due to overgrown sections


  • Redhead Trail: Trailhead located next the Five Islands Provincial Park gate, ensures year-round accessibility, (approx. 6 km), Level 1 and 2 terrain, moderate


  • Five Islands Estuary woodland loop (approx. 3.5 km) easy, Level 1 terrain, minimal elevation, some exposed roots but well defined trail


  • Partridge Island Eco Loop (approx. 3.5 km), Level 2 terrain, moderate with some steep sections


  • Clarke Head from Glooscap Campground (approx. 8 km), Level 1 and 2 terrain, easy to moderate when navigating rocky sections along the beach, close observation of the tides a must, safely accessible during a low tide phase (2.5 hours past high tide and 2.5 hours past low tide)


  • Wasson’s Bluff / 2 Islands Beach, (2 beaches, 2 options, varying distance), Level 1 and 2 terrain, easy to moderate with some rocky sections, most difficult is the descent to the beach


  • Wards Falls Trail (approx. 7 km), Level 2 terrain, moderate with some steep sections


  • Cape d’Or, park at the base of the Cape d’Or road and hike the road (approx. 10 km return), Level 1 terrain on the main road switches to level 2 terrain for the descent to the Light House,  OR Cape d’Or Light House from the Upper Parking Lot (approx. 1.5 km return), Level 2 terrain, moderate due to the steepness of the approach


  • West Advocate Drift Wood Beach, (set own distance), Level 1 terrain, easy


  • West Advocate Red Rock Beach, (approx. 3 km return), Level 1 terrain, easy


  • Apple River Edgett’s Beach, (details to be determined, low tide only)


  • Eatonville Day Use area, Three Sisters Trail Look Off Loop, (approx. 2.6 km), Level 1 terrain, easy


  • Eatonville Day Use area, Sqaully Point Trail Look Off Loop, (approx. 3.1 km), Level 1 terrain, easy


  • Brookville Formation Beach Hike, (approx. 4.5 km return, Level 1 terrain, easy to moderate and small pebble surface
